We are excited the time has come to begin meeting together in person!

We will resume services on Sunday, May 17th . However, the risk of COVID-19 is still with us so it’s important we meet together wisely. We encourage the elderly and those with health conditions that puts them at greater risk to continue to watch our services on Facebook live. For those who decide to attend in person we encourage you to wear masks and any other personal protection equipment you choose. We also ask that anyone with a household member not feeling well (has a fever, cough, runny nose, cold, or flu like symptoms) to remain home to prevent the spread of any sickness. Initially we will meet together in person on Sundays and stream the service on Facebook live for those who cannot attend. Our Wednesday night Bible study will continue to be only on Facebook live. We encourage you to host a small group in your home (10 or less) each. Wednesday and watch the Bible Study together.

Sundays:

Cleaning:

The building will be sanitized with special attention given to all surfaces that are touched. We have consulted with the CDC guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting facilities to come up with best practices for maintaining a safe environment for those who choose to attend.

Prior to service:
– The staff and all volunteers will be evaluated for COVID-10 symptoms before service by answering the following questions:
1. Have you been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19?
2. Are you experiencing a cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat?
3. Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours?
4. Have you had new loss of taste or smell?
5. Have you had vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24 hours?
-Any staff or volunteer who answers yes to any one of the questions above will be directed to leave the premises immediately and seek medical care. The building will immediately be aired out and sanitized.

Entering Building:
-Doors of the church will open at 10:20 for people to enter building. Everyone is asked to practice household social distancing while entering (keep at least 6 feet between the members of your household and others).
-The doors will be propped open when it’s time to enter and will remain propped open
until 10:35 or everyone has entered (whichever happens later).
-Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance and everyone will be encouraged to use it as they enter the building.

– The doors going into the sanctuary from the lobby will remain open throughout the service so that no one has to touch them to enter or exit.
-Everyone is encouraged to practice social distancing by waving to each other. We kindly request that everyone refrain from hugging or shaking hands.
-The chairs will be arranged to ensure social distancing by households.

During the service:
-The doors going out the sanctuary will remain open so no one has to touch the doors to exit or re-enter.
-The fans on the central air condition units will be left on and at least one exterior door will be left partially open to provide a source of fresh air.
-During worship an exterior door in the sanctuary will be opened to provide additional
fresh air.
-We will make a strong effort to keep the service from an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes in length. Anyone wanting personal prayer will be invited to stay after service.
-The service will be dismissed in an orderly fashion beginning with those closest to the exits and one household at a time will leave.
-Those in attendance will be invited to fellowship in the parking lot where there is fresh
air and a lower risk of spreading sickness.

Personal Prayer:
– Those who need or desire personal prayer will be invited to stay after the service.
-Each household/person desiring prayer will be invited to come into the altar area one at a time.
-The bottle of oil will be disinfected prior to service to reduce the likelihood of spreading sickness.
-The staff will use hand sanitizer after praying for each person and prior to handling the oil bottle.
-The staff will wear masks while praying and those desiring prayer will be asked to wear a mask also.
-Once people are prayed for they will be asked to exit the building since service will have
already been dismissed.

Children’s Ministries:
-There will be no children’s ministry at this time.
-The nursery will not be open for childcare during services.
– For parents who need to change diapers or nurse a baby, the nursery will be available for use. A sign will be placed in the nursery asking parents to disinfect the changing table after each use. Disinfectant wipes/spray will be provided.

Giving:
– An offering station will be set up just inside the doors of the sanctuary for people to give as they enter or exit. We will not pass the offering bags.
– People will be encouraged to give online or with Church Center app.

Restrooms:
– Hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes will be placed outside the doors to the restrooms.
– Each stall will have disinfectant spray and signs will encourage everyone to use spray prior to and following use of toilets.
-Signs will be placed in the stalls, at urinals, and at sinks reminding everyone to please wash their hands before leaving the restrooms.
– A sign will be placed by the restroom doors to remind people that hand sanitizer is available outside the restroom door.

General practices:
– For the immediate foreseeable future there will be no meals, coffee, etc. served at
church functions.
– We will be prepared to offer additional services when attendance exceeds our new
lower seating capacity.
